Four Month Program:    Introduction to Field Research
Options: March - June, May - September, July - October, September - December,  January - April

Six Month Program:       Field Research and Intern Mentorship

Nine Month Program:     Field Research, Intern Mentorship, Introduction to Project Management

One Year Program:         Field Research, Intern Mentorship, Project Management
       
A one year program is neccesary to experience seasonal fluctuations in environmental, wildlife, plant and  program dynamics.

Sustainable EcoToursim Internships

Three Month Program:  Introduction to: Eco-Tourism Activities and Recreational Safety and Risk Management
Options: Mid June - Mid August, Mid August - Mid October

Four Month Program:    
Introduction to: Eco-Tourism Activities, Safety and Risk Management and introduction to Mentorship
Options: April - July, June - September, July - October, August - November

Six Month Program:       Eco-Tourism Activities, Safety and Risk Management and  Mentorship
Options: April - September, May - October, June - November, July - December

Nine Month Program:     Eco-Tourism Activities, Safety and Risk Management Mentorship and Intro to Education  Management
Options: April - December

One Year Program:          Eco-Tourism Activities,
Safety and Risk Management, Mentorship and Education Program Management
Options: One full year, preferably starting on the water skills and safety and risk management training in winter or spring of the current year.

Internship Program Availability

Spring 2017: Start Dates: March / April / May

Sustainable Ecotourism Design, Client Services, Marketing, Reservations and Office Management:  1 Position
Internship Description:

Part-time:
Minimum three months preference for longer. Preferably also works in activity support and safety for more hours.

Recreational Safety and Risk Management:  
2 Positions

Internship Description:
Active Guide Training, Managing High Water Condition Activities, Managing High Wind Condition Activities, Preparing team  and equipment for main tourism season, Estuary, River Mouth and Wild Life considerations.
Part-time:
Minimum three months preference for longer. Preferably also works in activity support for more hours.

Youth Educator / Outdoor Educational Programs:  1 Position
Internship Description
Part-time: Minimum three months preference for longer.  Preferably also works in activity support and safety for more hours.

Field Research: 1 Position
Internship Description:
Work on one of our projects or create your own for college credit. Volunteer or
also works in activity support and /or safety for paid hours.

Summer 2017:Start Dates: April / May / June / July.

Sustainable Ecotourism Design, Marketing and Office Management:  1 Position
Part-time: Minimum three months preference for longer. Preferably also works in activity support and safety for more hours.

Recreational Safety and Risk Management:  
2 part-time and 2 full-time Positions
:
Internship Description: Active Guide Training, Managing High Water Condition Activities, Managing High Wind Condition Activities, Preparing team  and equipment for rentals and guided tours, Lifeguards and interprets for Estuary, River Mouth and Wild Life considerations.
Part-time:
2: Minimum three months.
Full-time: 2: Lifeguard or related water rescue certification. Bonus for Guide and Instructor certifications.
Supervises and manages in activity support for full-time hours. Lead guide as either day or night tours. Minimum 4 months mid June through mid October and management position starts training in April for employment through mid October. Both may stay on part time year around.

Our heaviest need for certified guides is Memorial weekend through mid September for daily paddling lifeguards on the water and guided tours. August through October Glowing Plankton and Living Classroom Project educational tours become frequent and we can have groups of up to 30 clients on both day and night tours on the same day. Train early to recieve Lead Guide and Lifeguard  responsibility and pay.

Recreational Safety and Risk Management:  
2 part-time and 1 full-time Positions:
Internship Description: Active Guide Training, Managing High Water Condition Activities, Managing High Wind Condition Activities, Preparing team  and equipment for rentals and guided tours, Lifeguards and interprets for Estuary, River Mouth and Wild Life considerations.

May stay on part time year around.
Full-time: 1: Lifeguard or related water rescue certification. Bonus for Guide and Instructor certifications. Supervises and manages in activity support for full-time hours. Works on own on slower mid-week days. Lead guide for either day or night tours. Minimum 4 months mid August through mid October and may stay on part-time throug winter and spring.  Management position starts training earlier in season.

Our heaviest need for certified guides is August through October for morning, sunset, full moon, glowing plankton and Living Classroom Project educational tours. "We can have both day and night tours on the same day".

Internship Description: Part-time training for next high season full-time if also working in activity support and safety for more hours.

Recreational Safety and Risk Management:
 
1- 2 Positions
Internship Description: Active Guide Training, Managing High Water Condition Activities, Managing High Wind Condition Activities, Preparing team  and equipment for rentals and guided tours, Lifeguards and interprets for Estuary, River Mouth and Wild Life considerations.
Part-time: 2: Minimum three months. May stay on part time year around. Preference for those preparing for full time work in intern training and shift management for next high season. Bonus for Guide and Instructor certifications.

Safety Training for high season "on the water" ecological education team. Preferably also works in activity support and safety for more hours.

Field Research: 1 Position
